Collection: Miles For Her

Miles for Her is a team of 8 local women who have joined this relay. From sunrise to sunrise, relay teams of 6-8 women will take on 6k legs in Santa Barbara, California July 24-25. Each member will tag the next teammate to take on another 6k and another and another until the sun begins to rise again. Why 6k? Because that is the average distant that a woman or child walks to get water. We are part of an organization called World Vision. We specifically partner with a division called Beyond Access. The Beyond Access program is built on the belief that progress can be accelerated when we center our approach on women and families. By intentionally sequencing our water, behavior change, and economic empowerment programs, women move from hopelessness, dependency, and having the burden of daily water collection to living with time and freedom to pursue income-generating work. Our goal is to raise $1,000,000 for this program.
